In 2012, Ritchie graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts. He then went on to get his Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. Broken Heart Shirts perfectly blends Ritchie’s artistic prowess and business savvy in perfect harmony.

Founded:

Ritchie founded Broken Heart Shirts on August 6, 2021. Broken Heart Shirts the brand was created out of necessity, as Ritchie felt the need to push back against censorship and conformity. Ritchie decided to put his 30+ years of art experience to good use and construct a brand centered on boldness, expression, and individuality.

The Designs:

Ritchie Knox designs every shirt himself. Look closely, and you can find his “Really Hood Hoodie” in the top left corner of most Broken Heart Shirts. Undoubtedly, Ritchie’s signature is the ultimate authenticator.

The Why:

Ritchie hopes that his “Really Hood Hoodie” inspires people to speak their minds and be themselves. In founding this American company, he hoped to promote the very principles and values at the heart of American culture (i.e., courage, fearlessness, and excellence).
